Why watch Gen V

Critically praised and widely loved. Strong performances plus a compelling narrative that keeps you hooked. Pour a drink, dim the lights, and let the opening scene pull you in — this one earns your evening. Expect the kind of story that lingers after the credits roll, the kind you'll want to text a friend about before bed.

The Boys had its moments, it wasn't perfect but at least, it was engaging. Then along came Gen V. It feels, to this reviewer, more like a basic teenie drama, with a few super hero add ons, than anything else. I found the first episode, unwatchable. Not helped at all by the nasty period blood thing. In summary, a uninspiring teenie drama with a vague super hero vibe. NOTE: I read the other "review", su…Show more

Don't listen to the MovieGuys review AT ALL. It doesn't even sound like they watched The Boys throughout. If you loved the boys, you will love Gen V. Yes it is a bit disturbing, but so was the boys. You don't watch The Boys or Gen V for clean entertainment. NOTE: Thank you MovieGuys for referencing my "review". You didn't even grasp that I said you didn't watch the Boys throughout. If you did and watched THE BOYS…Show more

Not as good as the Boys, somewhat more predictable due to the "teenage" college setting and the characters are nowhere near as likable as Hughie, Butcher, Frenchie, MM and Kimiko With that out the way; GenV is a decent enough spin off, it does nothing new nor does it add anything to The Boys universe. But it isn't painful to watch, very much on the fence regarding the want to watch a second season. 6/10

## **Updated Review for *Gen V* (2023) – Following Season 2** **Updated Score: 10/10 – A Perfect, Unifying Masterpiece** My original 8/10 review for *Gen V* was based on the brilliant, unhinged promise of its first season. Having now witnessed the completion of **Season 2, the show has not only fulfilled that promise but has exploded it into something greater, earning a flawless score.** This season accomplishe…Show more
